General Conditions
Colson Gallery offers curated exhibits and may, at its sole discretion, exhibit or not exhibit any entry. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to disqualify a submission.
By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Colson Gallery, its affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the exhibition of said images whether through technical errors; printing errors; late or undelivered mail or email; errors in the administration of the exhibition; or injury or damage to persons or property. You waive the right to claim any attorneys fees and any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
All entrants understand that any image submitted to the Gallery may be used by the Gallery for marketing and promotional purposes including in any media such as exhibitions, print and digital media though there will not be monetary compensation for such use.
By submitting, you are agreeing to be included in a Colson Gallery exhibition, though acceptance for exhibition is solely and completely at Colson Gallery’s discretion.
Entrants agree that prints of all images selected for exhibition will be offered for sale to the public. 60% of such proceeds will be sent to the photographer. The Gallery will retain 40% of such sales.
Any photograph exhibited by Colson Gallery shall carry the photographer's credit line.
Those submitting images must have all rights and permissions for said images, including necessary releases, as required by law.
Colson Gallery does not assume any responsibility for photos submitted in violation of these rules, or for those which violate copyright or other laws or regulations.
What types of files are accepted?
JPEGs with a maximum of 1,000 pixels in any dimension. Those selected agree to provide either an exhibition quality print or a reproduction quality TIFF file at 300ppi at the requested output size. Unframed images will be accepted but there will be a charge to frame them. PLEASE DO NOT SEND FRAMES WITH GLASS as they almost always break. Plexiglass is acceptable. All exhibited images must be framed, either as sent or by Colson Gallery at an additional charge. Basic white mattes and black, silver or gold gallery style frames are preferred to ensure exhibition continuity. Type your paragraph here.
